Homework presentation
These past two weeks we have been working on our creative homework. I chose to make lemon flavoured cup cakes with lemon flavoured icing. I also did research on Indiana where miss Ackridge comes from. Everyone loved my cupcakes they were delicious.

Koru art

Koru art
This term miss Ackridge taught us how to draw Koru art.

1. First we sketched some koru's, we chose one and sketched on a big piece of paper in our art book.
2. We then chose some pastels to see which pastels blend well in together.
3. We used pastels on our draft Koru, we showed miss Ackridge if we were able to draw on our good copy.
4. Once approved we drew on a big piece of paper.
5. We used pastels to colour and blend.
6. We outlined it in vivid.
7. Frame it.
8. Finally put it on display.

 On Tuesday the bird lady from Rothsay bay
She talked about how to save the birds from the 
Parapara tree, and how to help her to save birds.

Sarah cowley

Sarah Cowley coming to visit.
Sarah Cowley came to visit our school, who is an Olympic ambassador. She compete's in the Heptathlon which is a 7 event sport. The sports of the Heptathlon are the:
100 meter run
High jump
Shot put
200 meter run
long jump
Javelin Throw
800 meter run.

This term we have been playing AFL.
We have learnt about how to use the:
Drop punt
Handball
Bounce
The chest mark
The hand mark
and the speky mark.
We have also played a few games, I also play after school on Thursdays.

The sydney opera house.

My Reading
These past weeks red group were working on a poster about the topic of their book or a part in the book. We have been working hard at finding information on the internet and designing the layout of our posters. We also included a map on our poster and a few pictures to decorate. I chose to make a poster about the Sydney opera house. It was quit an interesting topic. Here is a pic of my homework.

I'm 10 and I am a Torbay student. My teacher is Mrs Kilkolly and a teacher from Indiana, named Miss Ackridge. I love to work on my laptop and especially reading about the Medieval days, The ancient times and don't forget the days of The Roman history. I love to explore and travel to the unknown. I can't wait to start my blogger. I also have interests in the Lord Of The Rings and mostly The Hobbit, I've always wanted to play a part of The Hobbit and meet all the cast such as Martin Freeman who was Bilbo Baggins and Ian Mckellen, Gandalf. My most best interest is probably The Hobbit.
