The Latic turkey

On Tuesday the 1st of July we went to the Latic turkey which is a sustainability challenge similar to the amazing race. The object of the race was to go to as many stations and complete the activities you were set to do and do as many challenges under 2 hours. The winning school would win an abundance of trees. To take to the school. 
I enjoyed taking the quizzes and trying to find an object or a letter code in the trees or the ground.
The part i didn't enjoy was having to wait for my other teammates when the were walking slowly.
 At the end we were giving out the prizes for the winning team and then we had spot prizes and i won a bottle of wine for my dad. Overall it was a great day to enjoy and test your knowledge about sustainability. 

  

Maths Campacity

Maths capacity.
I was learning about capacity and what it means to have a capacity. Capacity means - the weight it can preserve. We tested 5 containers in groups to see which could preserve the most water.
I found out that you can't be exact with the amount of water until you test it with another measuring cup, to get the right amount of water in the container. 
The tricky part of this project was about predicting an amount of water that the container could preserve.
I enjoyed filling the containers with water, using the measuring cups to get the right amount.
After we were finished with the water we decided that it would healthy to spray the water that we used into the gardens so we didn't waist any.

Wideo is wicked

For my Oral language i created a Wideo which is a free online animation creator. Wideo is a bit tricky at the start but when you've gone through the tutorials and the tips. You can choose your own characters, backgrounds, props, music and even choose their own actions.

My journal about me having braces... me, really i don't think so!!

On Saturday i got braces at stammore bay dental clinic. I chose to get dark blue braces which looks good with the color silver. The process of putting the braces on was not as severe as i thought it would be. By hearing about other braces catastrophes. The thought of having braces on my teeth!!!! WAIT! Did i just say i had braces... Me! No That can't be true. Never mind that my name is not Oscar it is BOB and no i do not go to Torbay school i go to...... um... dor-i-an  fl-o-or s-ch-ool... yeah Dorian floor school so bye bye.

The Storm of Terror

BOOM! SCOOP! A slash of spoon

lightning scooped up the mountain of beyond and flew across the city of Torbay. The Noku’s of Terrabakia gathered in the hall. “It was outrageous” said one of the Noku’s “I can’t believe it” another Noku said. They argued away until the night was over. They settled back in their cottages and enjoyed the rest of the day.

The storm was horrifically bad. It made a big Catastrophe in Torbay, which left an awful city. All that was left was smashed schools, BUT……

One school imparticular was still standing in one piece with only a smashed sign from here to there. The school must have had no inconvenience of any sort  the storm to leave a school in one piece. Not like other schools where it made a bomb site.
